Merrium-Webster OnLine

On the right you can see what the dictionary says about pray. I want to talk more specifically about prayer meditation than what the word pray itself means though.
First of all, if you have accepted Jesus Christ as our savior and you believe in all of Gods wonders then you are set. You can not do a prayer meditation session wrong. Well, not doing it at all might be considered wrong... You can however enhance your experience with the lord if you do these simple things (ACTS prayer):

Adore our savior. Say something very important about what God is to you. Express the glory and magical gift that God is to you as you live your daily life.
Confess your sins to God. We do this so that God can cleanse us and make us ready for true worship.
Thanksgiving: Having been made whole and forgiven for our faults we can forge on to show our gratefulness to God. Show God that you appreciate all his hard work in our lives.
Supplication: This is when you ask God for the thing that worry your soul. You may ask for something for others or even yourself. Without addressing the issues at hand God may not know how to help all of us in our daily lives.
Amen.

You don’t need to use all of these every time you meditate, but if you think carefully about ACTS and what it is intended to do for your soul you can probably find that three of these things are sufficient to get the job done.

Thinking about that lets just run through an all time favorite prayer The Lord’ Prayer (23rd Psalm of David):

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

-- KJV

Amen.

Well, not an ACTS prayer, but WOW! It shivers me timbers every time.
